Summer Sales Drive Prize Draw


  1. Autosure and Turners Car Insurance policies are managed by DPL Insurance Limited (DPL Insurance) and underwritten by Vero Insurance New Zealand Limited (Vero Insurance), the general insurance brand of Suncorp New Zealand. Together DPL Insurance and Vero Insurance are the promoters of this competition (the Promoters).

  2. You (the Agent) will be entered into the relevant prize pool draw below each time one of your customers purchases an Autosure or Turners Car Insurance policy and the eligibility criteria below are met. The following terms and conditions apply to the prize draw.

Eligibility - Prize Pool 1

  1. For each Autosure or Turners Car Insurance policy you sell between 1 November 2020 and 28 February 2021 inclusive (the Competition Period) you will go in the draw to win one of 24 Prezzy® Cards valued at $1,000 each (the Agent Prize).  The policy must be in force at the time of the prize draw.  The Agent Prize is not transferrable.  For full terms and conditions relating to the Prezzy® Cards click here or go to https://www.prezzycard.co.nz/terms-conditions/.

  2. There will be four prize draws in total for Prize Pool 1, one each in December, January, February and March.  Six winners will be drawn from all eligible entries on the 8th day of the month after purchase of the policy (the Agent Draw Date).  Entries will be drawn at random and the first qualifying entry drawn will be deemed the prize winner (the Prize Winner).  Entries are valid only for the prize draw held in the month after policy purchase.  Entries that are not drawn as a winner on the 8th day of the month after the policy is purchased will not be carried over to the next month’s prize draw.

  3. Each new policy sold by the Agent during the Competition Period will automatically entitle the Agent to one entry into the competition. Only one entry is available per new policy sold, regardless of the number of policyholders.

Eligibility - Prize Pool 2

  1. There will be four prize draws in total for Prize Pool 2, one each in December, January, February and March.  Each customer who purchases a policy during the Competition Period goes in the draw to win one of eight prizes (the Customer Competition).  The winner of a prize will receive Caltex StarCash® fuel gift cards to the value of $2,500 (the Customer Prize).  Two winners of the Customer Prize will be randomly drawn, from all eligible entries by the 8th of the month after purchase of the policy, for each month of the Competition Period (the Customer Draw Date).  Entries are valid only for the prize draw held in the month after policy purchase.  Entries that are not drawn as a winner on the 8th day of the month after the policy is purchased will not be carried over to the next month’s prize draw.   2. The Agent who sold the policy to the winner of the Customer Prize will win a Prezzy® card valued at $500 each (the Agent-Customer Prize). The policy must be in force at the time of the prize draw.  There are eight Agent-Customer Prizes to be won by Agents.  The Agent-Customer Prize is not transferrable.  Entries will be drawn at random and the first qualifying entry drawn will be deemed the Prize Winner.

  3. Entry by the Agent into the Customer Competition for the Agent-Customer Prize is not available when policyholders renew an existing policy or cancel an existing policy and then purchase a new policy insuring the same vehicle, during the Competition Period.

The Competition

  1. Only policies underwritten by Vero Insurance, are eligible for entry into the competition. The annual premium for the policy must be paid in full, have a direct debit set up for payment or be finance in full.

  2. The Prize Winner will be notified by telephone, email and/or mail no later than seven working days after the relevant Customer Draw Date and Agent Draw Date. If, after making reasonable attempts, the Promoters cannot contact the Prize Winner within seven working days of the Agent Draw Date and Customer Draw Date respectively, the Prize Winner will not be eligible to receive the prize and the prize will be redrawn on the same terms and conditions, until another Prize Winner is successfully contacted. The decision of the Promoters is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  3. If any Prize Winners do not wish to claim their prize for any reason, the Prize Winner must notify the Promoters in writing within 24 hours of being notified of their win, in order for a new winner to be drawn.

  4. Any additional costs associated with the Agent Prize or Agent-Customer Prize are not included in the relevant prize and are the Prize Winner’s responsibility.

  5. The Agent Prize or Agent-Customer Prize cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash if the Prize Winner does not wish to, or is unable to, take up the relevant prize for any reason whatsoever. The Promoters may substitute an alternative equivalent prize/s without notice prior to the Agent Draw Date or Customer Draw Date.

  6. The Prize Winner agrees to participate in reasonable promotional and marketing activities as and when requested by the Promoters for no additional compensation. All material produced for such purposes shall remain the property of the Promoters.

  7. The Promoters may refuse to award the Agent Prize or Agent-Customer Prize to an agent who, in the Promoters view, has acted fraudulently or not complied with these terms and conditions.

General

  1. The Promoters reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at their discretion and to extend, modify, postpone or cancel the competition at any time. The decision of the Promoters is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  2. The Promoters and any of their related companies and agencies associated with this competition, will not be liable for any loss, claim, cost, expense, liability or injury (Loss) suffered by any person in any way associated with the competition including as a result of entry into the competition or winning or use of the Agent Prize or Agent-Customer Prize, except where such Loss cannot be excluded by law.

  3. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.

  4. The Promoters of this competition are DPL Insurance, which has its registered offices at 28 The Warehouse Way, Northcote, Auckland 0627, New Zealand and Vero Insurance, which has its registered offices at Level 13, Vero Centre, 48 Shortland Street, Auckland, 1010, New Zealand.

  5. Privacy

  1. By taking part in this competition, the Promoters may collect personal information of the Agent and Customer.  This personal information will be held by the Promoters in accordance with the Promoters privacy policies which can be accessed online here.  DPL Insurance here and Vero Insurance here.  Any request to access or correct the personal information should be directed to Vero Insurance Limited Level 13, Vero Centre, 48 Shortland Street, Auckland, 1010, New Zealand (or by calling 0800 800 134) and DPL Insurance Limited, 28 The Warehouse Way, Northcote, Auckland 0627, New Zealand.

  2. By entering the competition and claiming either the Agent Prize or the Agent-Customer Prize, the Prize Winner consents to the Promoters and their advertising agencies using the Prize Winner’s name, photograph and personal information for marketing and promotional purposes and administration of the prize draw as determined by the Promoters.  The Agent has the right to access and request correction of this information.
