Vero announced as finalist for Intermediated Insurance Company of the Year 2016

Vero has been named a finalist for Intermediated Insurance Company of the Year at the 2016 New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards.
This award recognises intermediated general insurance companies which have demonstrated strong performance and outstanding service for their customers in New Zealand.
Vero is part of Suncorp New Zealand, a leading general and life insurance business.
“Suncorp New Zealand and its brands are dedicated to putting our customers first, and generating value for all our stakeholders,” said Paul Smeaton, CEO Suncorp New Zealand which includes the Vero brand.
“Being shortlisted for these awards reflects our commitment to our customers, our strong relationships with our business partners and the hard work and dedication of our people, and we’re delighted to be recognised across the categories we operate in.”
Another Suncorp brand, Asteron Life has also been named a finalist for Life Insurance Company of the Year.
Vero and Asteron Life both won their respective categories at the 2015 awards.
In March this year, Suncorp announced the new structure of its business, which brings Suncorp's general and life insurance businesses in New Zealand together in a customer-centric model.
“Our vision is to be the number one choice for New Zealanders because we give our customers the freedom and flexibility to look after their financial wellbeing in a way that best suits them,” said Mr Smeaton.
“Bringing our award-winning brands together under the Suncorp name will enable us to better connect New Zealanders to products, services and experiences that enhance and protect their financial wellbeing.”
